Wie die Bewertung und Auszeichnung des Swiss Location Awards 2021 im Detail funktioniert.

Aufgrund der überwältigenden Anzahl Nominierungen (mit mehr als 900 bestätigten Nominierungen nehmen dieses Jahr rund doppelt soviele Locations am Award teil, wie in den vergangenen Jahren) und der ausserordentlichen Qualität der Teilnehmerlocations, haben wir uns entschieden, den Auszeichnungsmodus in diesem Jahr von einem Top 20 Ranking zu einem Punktesystem (à la Gault Millau & co) anzupassen: 
 

I. Bewertung:

Eine Location kann in bis zu drei Award-Kategorien (+ Spezialkategorie "Digitale/Hybride Locations") für den Swiss Location Award® nominiert werden.

In jeder dieser Kategorien erhält die Location eine Gesamtbewertung (10er Skala) welche sich zu 1/3 aus der Bewertung durch Veranstalter*innen und Locationbesucher*innen, zu 1/3 aus der Bewertung durch eine unabhängig Fachjury und zu 1/3 durch eine technische Bewertung von eventlokale.ch zusammensetzt. II. Gütesiegel: 

Locations, die in mindestens einer der Award-Kategorien eine Gesamtbewertung von 7/10 Punkten und mehr erreichen, erhalten das Gütesiegel "Empfohlen" verliehen.

Locations, die in mindestens einer der Award-Kategorien eine Gesamtbewertung von 8/10 Punkten und mehr erreichen, erhalten das Gütesiegel "Ausgezeichnet" verliehen.

Locations, die in mindestens einer der Award-Kategorien eine Gesamtbewertung von 9/10 Punkten und mehr erreichen, erhalten das Gütesiegel "Herausragend" verliehen.

Die erhaltenen Gütesiegel können durch die Locations in ihrer Kommunikation mit Veranstalter*innen, Locationbesucher*innen und Öffentlichkeit nach Belieben- und losgelöst von den nominierten Award-Kategorien verwendet werden. 

III. Auszeichnung

Die Auszeichnung einer Location erfolgt in derjenigen Kategorie (=Hauptkategorie), in welcher sie bei der Gesamtbewertung ihre höchste Punktezahl erreicht. Falls eine Location in mehreren Kategorien die gleiche Punktezahl erreicht, entscheidet die Fachjury darüber, in welcher Hauptkategorie die Location ausgezeichnet wird. 

Die Location-Rangliste jeder Award-Kategorie ergibt sich ähnlich wie bei Gault Millau & co aus der Punktezahl der bewerteten Locations, was zum Vorteil hat, dass a) "mehrere gleich gute Locations" auch gleich klassiert sein können und b) dass die Anzahl der ausgezeichneten Locations bei vielen Teilnehmern mit hoher Qualität nicht auf 200 Locations limitiert bleiben muss. 

IV. Kommunikation: 

Alle Locations, die im Rahmen des Swiss Location Awards eine Auszeichnung erhalten (d.h. mind. 7/10  Punkten in einer der nominierten Kategorien erreichen), bekommen im Rahmen ihrer Award Auszeichnung kostenlos: 

• Ein hochwertiges Diplom mit Aufführung ihrer Hauptkategorie, der erreichten Punktezahl und der erhaltenen Gütesiegel-Auszeichnung
• Ein Set an exklusiven Aufklebern (Vor- und Hinterglas) mit der erhaltenen Gütesiegel Auszeichnung
• Ein Online Winner Kit mit verschiedenen Designvorlagen zur exklusiven Nutzung in Marketing/Kommunikation

Swiss Location Award 2021: Evaluation and award mode

How the evaluation and awarding of the Swiss Location Award 2021 works in detail.

Due to the overwhelming number of nominations (with more than 900 confirmed nominations, about twice as many locations will participate in the award this year as in previous years) and the extraordinary quality of the participating locations, we have decided to adapt the award mode this year from a top 20 ranking to a point system (à la Gault Millau & co): 

I. Evaluation:

A location can be nominated for the Swiss Location Award® in up to three award categories.

In each of these categories, the location receives an overall rating (scale of 10), which is made up of 1/3 of the rating by event organizers and location visitors, 1/3 of the rating by an independent jury of experts and 1/3 of a technical rating by eventlokale.ch.

II. Seal of quality: 

Locations that achieve an overall rating of 7/10 points or more in at least one of the award categories are awarded the "Recommended" seal of quality.

Locations that achieve an overall rating of 8/10 points or more in at least one of the award categories are awarded the "Excellent" seal of quality.

Locations that achieve an overall rating of 9/10 points and more in at least one of the award categories are awarded the "Outstanding" seal of quality.

The seals of quality received can be used by the locations in their communication with event organizers, location visitors and the general public as they wish and independently of the nominated award categories. 

III. Awarding

A location will be awarded in the category (= main category) in which it achieves the highest number of points in the overall evaluation. If a location achieves the same number of points in several categories, the expert jury decides in which main category the location is awarded. 

The location ranking list of each award category is thus derived from the number of points of the rated locations, similar to Gault Millau & co, which has the advantage that a) "several equally good locations" can also be classified equally and b) that the number of awarded locations does not have to remain limited to 200 locations in case of many participants with high quality. 

IV. Communication: 

All locations that receive an award in the Swiss Location Awards (i.e. achieve at least 7/10 points in one of the nominated categories) will receive free of charge as part of their award: 

• A high-quality diploma listing their main category, the number of points achieved and the seal of approval award received.
• A set of exclusive stickers (front and back glass) with the received cachet award
• An online Winner Kit with various design templates for exclusive use in marketing/communication
